Helena Zeng is a finance expert specializing in foreign direct investment and mergers and acquisitions in cross-border deals, particularly between the U.S. and China. Currently, she serves as Managing Director at China Bridge Capital & NextG Tech Fund, a global private equity platform focused on China, the US and the Middle East. In this role, she aims to globalize businesses through strategic capital and management, launching global offices and leading international investments in cutting-edge technological unicorns.
Prior to that, Helena was a Senior Advisor at Freedom Acquisition Corporation and a Venture Partner at NCL Investment Management, where she identified market opportunities and drove growth initiatives.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature from Wellesley College.

I am eager to learn advanced management skills and participate in fostering contemporary debates on global business collaboration and international trade through the Hinrich Foundation Global Trade Scholarship. My step 1 goal is to advance to the CEO position at China Bridge Capital & NextG Tech Fund and continue my Private Equity career promoting China-USA-Middle East and global business collaboration. My step 2 goal is to study marketing and branding strategies, preparing for my own global business one day. By engaging with experts and peers within the Hinrich Foundation community, I aim to broaden my understanding and develop practical strategies for real-world scenarios.

This global scholarly network is invaluable for comprehending the multifaceted nature of global trade. I believe the intellectual environment at Hinrich Foundation will expand my knowledge and challenge my perspectives, encouraging critical thinking about global trade practices. Through this program, I hope to gain insights into effective management techniques and innovative solutions that drive sustainable business practices and foster international cooperation.
