Personal statement
Starting off with a strong passion for international business, I took my first career steps by completing my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Economics and Business Administration in the 2000s. Since then, I have undergone a process of personal growth in different business roles, including my current one as a Business Development Manager at the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).
The Master of Global Trade program is a natural next step for me. It provides the most current knowledge of global trade, international exposure and networking opportunities. Through this course, I will become more effective in supporting New Zealand businesses in Vietnam.
The program presents a powerful pathway to professional advancement, preparing me to pursue a long-term career in trade. My focus will be on providing consultancy services for international companies exporting to Vietnam and for local exporters entering the global trade system.
My desire to be part of the program started when I first met Hinrich Foundation and RMIT teams to learn about their vision. I admired their passion and was thoroughly impressed by how motivated and successful the scholars and alumni have been. I was inspired to become a better professional in the field of trade, helping lay a strong foundation for the promotion of sustainable and inclusive trade between Vietnam and the world.
I would like to be an active alumna of the Hinrich Foundation and RMIT, participating in and supporting their events and projects in Vietnam, leveraging my network for knowledge-sharing initiatives, and being an industry mentor for RMIT. Hence, I will be contributing to the Foundation's mission of ‘developing the talent that will drive the sustainable transformation of trade and global value chains.’
