Alumni background
Najmul is an experienced industrial and production engineer with over fifteen years in manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement across the apparel and footwear industries in Asia and Africa.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering at Grand Valley State University. He is concurrently undertaking an engineering internship at Challenge Manufacturing, a global Tier 1 supplier of automotive components.
Before moving to the US, Najmul worked as Engineering Manager of Manufacturing Excellence at VF Corporation Bangladesh, a Fortune 500 company with over 120 years of expertise in the footwear and apparel industry, managing brands like The North Face, Timberland, Vans, Supreme and Dickies.
He earned a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering with Distinction in 2017, jointly offered by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Warwick, UK, through the Hinrich Foundation–VF Corporation Global Trade Leader Scholarship.
